The Shires Nevada Unisex Long Coat is an excellent choice in riding and yard coats offering you exceptional protection from the elements.

This fully lined coat features a waterproof outer along with large weatherproof pockets providing somewhere to keep your belongings safe when riding.

Featuring a large detachable hood, large storm cape for added weather protection and a two way front zipper with storm flap you can be sure that you will be kept suitably protected on those wet and windy rides.

Finished with elasticated inner wrist cuffs, a fleece lined high collar and a large back gusset for superior comfort in the saddle. This is the perfect addition to your riding wear.

Measure Your Rug
Fitting Guide

  1. Measure from the centre of your horse's chest to the buttocks where you would expect the rug to finish.
  2. Once you have the measurement refer to the rug sizing guide above (for guide purposes only)
  3. When you receive the rug please ensure you try the rug on over a clean sheet. This keeps the rug clean and hair free allowing for its return if the size is incorrect.
  4. Check that the rug fits correctly - Correctly fitted horse rugs should not be too tight across the shoulder & should reach the base of the horses tail (excluding tail flap)
  5. The rug must fit correctly before leaving the horse unattended. A rug that is too tight may rub and pull across the shoulder. Too big and it may slip and be trodden on.
  6. Please Note: Except in the case of faulty goods we are unable to except returned rugs unless they are clean, hair-free, include all tags and are suitable for re-sale.

  • I am usually a UK10 but sometimes purchase a UK12 to allow for layers underneath. How true to size are these jackets?

    Hello Caroline, Shires advise that these jackets are fairly generous. The X-Small is roughly equivalent to a UK8-10 and so on - I hope this helps.

    Hi Rosemary, Thank you for your enquiry. We have spoken with Shires directly and they have explained that these jackets are rather generous in their sizing. They have recommended that you go for a small and this should give you enough room to wear a jumper underneath.
