Easy to attach and remove with a velcro system along the neck and clips at the back end, the liners are designed as an alternative to layering rugs. Allowing the outer layers to be transformed to offer different weight properties.
Horseware liners fit easily into the domestic washing machine for frequent washing. A clean inside lining supports healthy skin and prevents irritations. This can be especially beneficial for clipped horses.

How to fit your Horseware liner
The liner attaches to the rug with a simple application method. The two-inch pieces of velcro attach to the light, rounded metal loops in the inside neck area of the horse rug. Secure the liner using the clip fastenings at the rear of the rug to avoid slippage.
The Liners are made with smooth polyester quilted with fibrefill to help reduce friction and prevent rubbing and cut to a shallower depth to avoid interfering with surcingle fastenings.
Each liner is designed to fit under the rug of the corresponding size so The system is designed to fit under your horses normal sizing, so no need to size up or down! Just go with what you know.
Horseware liners are available in a variety of styles and weights
You can use any weight turnout that is liner compatible and add a Horseware Liner as additional layer for more warmth, to create a lightweight, medium-weight or heavyweight rug.

The Vari-Layer® liner adds more warmth with less weight for all your liner compatible rugs. Vari-layer® is the layering of thermobonded fibrefill to gain maximum heat retention without the heaviness of a standard fill. Thermobonded fibrefill used in this system retains its loft over time even through washing which in turn helps your rug maintain optimal heat retention. Available in 250g and 450g.
Horseware Waterproof Fly Rug liner
Turn your fly rug into a lightweight turnout. Waterproof polyester outer and polyester lining polishes the coat and keeps your horse dry and cool with an absorbent middle layer to wick away sweat. Easy to use fastenings for attachment, shallow cut to prevents overheating.
