With many bridle designs often your horses line of sight can be shielded by the cheek pieces, however with this innovative design the horses sight field is fully preserved (as you can see from the additional images).
Horse’s ears are a highly important part of their communication, the Stubben Freedom 2500 bridle fully preserves their freedom of movement as neither the headstall nor the browband cross any of the horse’s 16 ear muscles, placing no pressure on the area.
The special positioning of the headstall and the throat strap ensure the horse’s sensitive areas in the neck and throat are kept free from any pressure. This is the first bridle of its kind that has been specially designed to consider all of your horse’s anatomical characteristics to provide the optimum comfort and freedom of movement.
How to fit the Stubben Freedom 2500 Bridle: -
To fit the bridle correct correctly first take the headpiece over the head, and position it approximatly an inch behind the ears. It must not touch the ears, this would cause friction.
Next step is to fasten the throat strap. With the headpiece in the correct position an inch away from the ears, the throat strap buckled will keep the headpiece from moving forward. The throat strap should sit snug against the horse’s cheek without it being over tight.
Then you must check the noseband. The noseband should lay 2 fingers lower than the cheeks bone. Any higher, it will be uncomfortable and cause pressure.
Once happy with the fit, take the bridle off and attach your bit. Refit the bridle remembering where you fastened it up before.
