The Point Two ProAir Soft Shell is identical to any other softshell gilet with a difference, it has a Point Two airbag integrated into the jacket. This is a perfect choice for people that want to look stylish but ride with optimum safety levels!
The exclusive trigger system is cleverly hidden in the front pocket of the jacket with a small opening for the lanyard which means it can be easily hidden when you are not riding.
Areas of protection of the Point Two Soft Shell has been proved to work in three ways. To distribute pressure, absorb shock and support the spinal column in event of a fall. When inflated, the airbag system offers the collar of the neck and trunk more support, thus reducing the risk of over bending the spinal column.
Can also be worn in conjunction with a body protector for additional safety.
How the ProAir works?
The air jacket is inflated by a canister of C02, stored on the front of the jacket. When the rider separates from the saddle, the canister in the Point Two ProAir is activated by the release of a lanyard that is clipped from the jacket onto an attachment on the saddle. The air bags of the ProAir will inflate within one tenth of a second — roughly equivalent to the blink of an eye.
The Point Two ProAir will hold the rider tight for 15-20 seconds and then slowly deflate over two to three minutes. While the ProAir jacket is inflated, the rider will continue to have full movement of their waist, arms and legs, and partial movement of their head.

Should it be worn with or without a body protector?
The safest way to wear the Point Two ProAir is in conjunction with a conventional body protector. Some riders who use the ProAir at home or while hunting tell us they prefer to use it on its own — where they previously would have worn no safety equipment at all. But for UK competition where Body Protectors are required, the ProAir must be used with a BETA-approved Level 3 body protector — such as the Racesafe 2010, on which the P2-RS is built. The Point Two ProAir is fully reusable, and requires servicing annually or after every six falls.
All Point Two ProAir jackets come ready to use with bungee lanyard, saddle attachment and two canisters, one in the jacket and a spare. Every jacket is sold with a spare canister to give riders the opportunity to experience a test inflation of their new garment. It is highly recommended riders take advantage of this, so they know how the system works and how the Point Two ProAir jacket feels prior to a real accident.
