The Sprenger Duo Pelham Bit is extremely gentle on the horse's tongue and mouth and is often used for young or sensitive horses.
The innovative mouthpiece is made of a soft, flexible plastic which adapts to the horse's mouth.
The material is food-safe, solvent-free and does not contain any plasticisers and is reinforced with a steel cable to make it durable and stable.
It is shaped to allow room for the tongue in the centre of the horse's mouth and adapts to each horse.
The Pelham is a bit that provides additional lever action on the poll. Pressure is applied to the lower jaw bones by the use of a curb chain.
In a way the Pelham is a combination of a Weymouth and a bradoon and can be used with one or two reins, which enables different rein options.
