The Rambo® Protector Detach-A-Neck Fly Rug offers maximum breathability, while still providing high levels of protection against flying insects and UV rays. Engineered from a breathable and durable unique, patented, self-repairing fabric, it features a shine enhancing polyester lining on the neck, shoulders and tail, to reduce the risk of rubbing and discomfort. 

Designed to cover as much as your horse as possible, the Rambo® Protector has a generously sized detachable neck cover, extra depth at the knees and extended belly flap. This, combined with a supersized tail flap, helps to prevent those pesky flies and harmful UV rays reaching your horse's skin.

A V-Front closure and leg arches allow your horse to graze comfortably by removing pressure on the shoulders. Finished with three straight surcingles and a single tail strap, this Rambo® Fly Rug is a must-have for those wanting a tough sheet for when the warm weather rolls in.

Measure Your Rug

Fitting Guide

  1. To find out your horse's rug size measure from the centre of the chest to the rear of the hind leg (A to B).
  2. Once you have the measurement refer to the rug sizing guide above (for guide purposes only)
  3. When you receive the rug please ensure you try the rug on over a clean sheet. This keeps the rug clean and hair free allowing for its return if the size is incorrect.
  4. Check that the rug fits correctly - Correctly fitted horse rugs should not be too tight across the shoulder & should reach the base of the horses tail (excluding tail flap)
  5. The rug must fit correctly before leaving the horse unattended. A rug that is too tight may rub and pull across the shoulder. Too big and it may slip and be trodden on.
  6. Please Note: Except in the case of faulty goods we are unable to except returned rugs unless they are clean, hair-free, include all tags and are suitable for re-sale.
