Hi Diane, thank you for your enquiry. According to Equus Health, the dosage shouldn't change depending on the size of horse or pony, or the product's potency. They advise an initial loading dose of 2 tablets twice a day for the first 3 weeks, and if feeding longer term feed one tablet twice a day after the first three weeks, and have one week without feeding every 3 months. They cannot give a specific timeframe in which it will take effect as it will depend on the horse, but it should be noticeable after the first three weeks.
