The Wolseley Midge BX120 Battery Electric Fencer is an extremely popular multi-purpose battery fencer unit, with its own built-in earth stake, especially for use with horses and cattle.

Very easy and economical to operate, it can be powered by a 6v or 9v dry battery or 12v rechargeable battery, which makes it a useful and flexible unit. However, the fencer would perform best with a 12v Leisure Battery.

It comes with an indicator light and is attached to its own earth stake.

  • One of the wires on my Wolseley Fencer has come out. How can I fix this?
Question asked by Martin mcallister on 11/01/2020 16:47:28
Hello Martin, We have spoken with our supplier regarding this, and they have advised the following steps to reconnect the wire:
    1. Take the Fencer unit off the post (there are two nuts on the back to unscrew).
    2. Slide the back panel off the fencing unit.
    3. Inside the unit is an electrical block that the wires go into. There will be an obvious place that the wire has come out of.
    4. Push the wire back into the correct connector.
Complete new lead kits are available separately if required. I hope this helps.
