The Happy Mouth Mullen Pelham bit has a flexible polymer mouthpiece, which has been shaped to be gentler in your horse or ponies mouth, whilst the apple scent will help to encourage your horse or pony to accept the bit'Please note, this bit comes with a small carabiner clip to attach the curb chain to the bit, rather than a traditional curb hook.

To find correct size bit for your horse:
Stand in front of your horse and make sure there is approximately 5mm ( 1/4") clearance on both sides. One fingers' width between the horses lips and the bit ring/cheek is correct. The bit should lie evenly in the mouth and adjusted to the correct height, just gently wrinkling the corners of the mouth. With all synthetic bits it is vital teeth are well maintained and examined on a regular basis. If any doubt about sizing or style of bit to suit your horse always seek advice.
