About the tester: <\/strong>Storm is Redpost’s Marketing Manager. She enjoys taking her young horse Lina out showing and is always looking for something to keep Lina’s mind occupied in the stable. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

About the product: <\/strong>The Horslyx Garlic Balancer<\/a><\/strong> helps to provide a natural and effective way to help stop biting insect and can reduce the irritation caused by sweet itch. The rich nutrient lick contains strong anti-oxidants, vitamin E and selenium, plus chelated copper and zinc which help supports and maintain a healthy immune system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What were your first impressions?<\/strong> “The lick smelled amazing, and it felt like a nice size for an extra treat. It was easy to get the pot open but closed securely so I didn\u2019t have to worry about spills or leaks. I hadn\u2019t expected it to be a dark colour, so chose the wrong day to wear a white top!” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How was the sizing & fit?<\/strong> “The size is perfect for testing to see if your horse will like the flavour, before committing to a 5kg tub. It lasted about two weeks, being given to the horse for short periods at a time. My horse, Lina, can be quite fussy and not very adventurous when it comes to food and treats, so I didn\u2019t want to buy a big one until I knew she would like the lick”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did you test the Product?<\/strong> “I held it in my hand for Lina to try \u2013 it took a few goes for her to get the idea of licking and not biting. When she figured it our, she took the whole pot in her teeth, and waved it around her stable! She\u2019s only a 3-year-old so she loves something to meddle with. She then dropped the pot which made the lick easy to pop out into a bucket \u2013 it\u2019s recommended not to leave the plastic pot in with the horse, so I put the lick into a flat Red Gorilla tub, which Lina loved as she could push the whole thing round the stable. She did get a very messy nose, but it washed off easily without being too sticky, and the marks washed off my clothes too. If she did manage to get the lick out of the bucket and into the straw, it was easy to rinse it off and refresh it so it wasn\u2019t wasted.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was your favourite feature? <\/strong>“It was handy that the pot is resealable. I just gave Lina the lick for 10 minutes at a time, so it was great that I could pop the lick back in the pot and keep it fresh for the next time.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any other comments? <\/strong>“Now that I know she likes this lick, I\u2019m going to get her the 5kg size and the wall mounted holder \u2013 which will be perfect for her to keep her from causing mayhem!” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
