Harry Meade is the current FEI Eventing World Number One, based at Church Farm in South Gloucestershire.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Harry has competed at 5* level for over 20 years. Widely respected in the equestrian world for his quiet and sympathetic style of riding, he is also well known for his ability to consistently produce horses from youngsters to the top level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry has been a member of the BBC commentary and presenting team over many years and has written regular columns for leading print publications, including Horse and Hound. Harry has also been influential in matters of international governance through his involvement with numerous federations, panels and committees, where his passion for the sport and wealth of experience makes him an asset to progress. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite his many successes, Harry is no stranger to hardship. In 2013, he suffered potentially career ending injuries in a rotational fall. A long and uncertain rehabilitation period followed, and there was considerable doubt as to whether Harry would ride again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six months later he came third at Badminton \u2013 a contest that would later be regarded as one of the toughest in the event\u2019s history, with fewer than half the competitors entered completing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2014, Harry was named the EHOA Rider of the Year (by the body that represents owners within the sport) the ERA Rider of the Year (by the rider\u2019s body), the BEWA Rider of the Year (by the press and media) and Horse & Hound\u2019s Rider of the Year, voted for by the readership. These accolades are a testament to Harry\u2019s standing as a respected role model within the equestrian world. His dedication to the sport and his unwavering commitment to horse welfare align with our own values, and we are proud to support Harry as a Redpost Rider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry proudly represented Great Britain as part of the silver-medal-winning team at the 2014 World Championships in Normandy, following his impressive 3rd place finish at Badminton in the same year. Additionally, he was short-listed for both the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and 2024 Paris Olympic Games. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024\/2025, Harry piloted six horses clear and inside the time around Burghley, Kentucky, and Badminton consecutively (two at each event) \u2013 a feat that has never been achieved before. He also finished on his dressage score at all three of these Grand Slam events. Harry has completed Badminton and Burghley a total of twenty seven times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry remains the youngest rider ever to have received a much sought after Armada dish \u2013 awarded for five Badminton completions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past sixteen years, Harry has been a key member of the Lottery-funded World Class Squad. In June 2025 Harry was crowned FEI World Number One, following an unprecedented string of top-level results. In 2025 alone, Harry has had seven top ten 5* placings, including podium finishes at Kentucky and Burghley as well as 4th place at Kentucky, Badminton and Burghley 2025 and a win in the 4*L at Montelibretti.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
