The Equilibrium Massage Combo Pack includes a Massage Pad PLUS a Massage Mitt as a great value price! These massage units are highly effective, affordable and easy to use, clinically proven to improve flexibility and promote relaxation.

Shaped to follow the contours of the horse’s back, the Massage Pad provides coverage from withers to quarters and provides battery-operated 30-minute sessions, with three different, easily adjustable programs that allow you to choose the intensity of the massage to suit your horse's needs. These programs can be used as a warm-up before exercise, or during the day to help relax your horse.

The Equilibrium Massage Pad was developed through clinical trials at Myerscough College, UK. The results, following 6 weeks of testing, show that the Equilibrium Massage Pad offers significant benefits to working horses, improving back flexibility, promoting relaxation and that it could help to increase stride length.

The Equilibrium Massage Pad has three different settings – high, medium and low – which can be selected easily from the attached controller. This enables you to select the intensity of the program to suit your horse. Each program has three different types of massage – pulsing, vibration and stroking –to ensure all muscles are worked in different ways.

The Massage Pad fits an array of horses and ponies so can be easily transferred from horse to horse or pony. It comes in a handy carry bag which makes it ideal for use at home, away. It is easy to store in the tack room and is wipe clean. The bag also has useful storage spots for the battery and charger.

The Equilibrium Massage Mitt is a superb product designed with three different settings – high, medium and low – which can be selected easily from the mitt itself, it enables you to select the intensity of the program to suit your horse. Each program has three different types of massage – pulsing, vibration and stroking –to ensure all muscles are worked in different ways. Each session will last for 10 minutes ensuring you have enough time for full coverage over the horses muscle groups.

The Massage Mitt can be easily incorporated into your warming up and cooling down routine. The medium setting can be used to help warm muscles up prior to exercise. The low setting can then be used to cool down the muscles.

Benefits of Massage
Massage has shown to help reduce back stiffness caused by injury and long-term chronic conditions such as arthritis. It does this by increasing the blood supply to the affected muscles and removing the build-up of toxins. Tension is often one of the most common reasons for poor performance and by increasing relaxation and improving back flexibility; the negative effects of tension can be reduced. Relaxed muscles will assist with flexibility and movement in particular for competition horses performing dressage movements and jumping technical fences.

The Combo Pack pad is available in two sizes, making it ideal for most horses & ponies. The XL size features 6 massage motors to cover an even larger surface area and is most suited for horses who wear 6’6″ plus rugs or those particularly long or broad in the back. Please note, the standard size comes with 1x front strap & 2 belly straps. The XL comes with 1x front strap & 3x belly straps.

While the Equilibrium Therapy Standard Massage Pad will fit the majority of horses and ponies, the Equilibrium Therapy XL Massage Pad is designed especially for the bigger horse, and shaped for broader or long backed horses. Equilibrium would recommend it is suitable for horses who wear over a 6’6″ rug and/or are over 16.2hh.

Please note, the standard size comes with 1x front strap & 2 belly straps. The XL comes with 1x front strap & 3x belly straps.
