Green February is a month-long celebration of equestrian products and brands that are making a positive impact on the planet. We aim to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices and products in the equestrian industry. During Green February, riders, trainers, yards, and businesses are encouraged to take a closer look at the products they use and the companies they support, and to make conscious choices that prioritise sustainability and pro-environmental practices . From eco-friendly stable management products, recyclable horse care items, to sustainable riding clothing and equipment, Green February is an opportunity to celebrate and support those that are working to create a more sustainable future for the equestrian industry and the planet.

Eco-Kind

By shopping from our Eco-Kind range, you can play an active role in our sustainability efforts. Products displaying the Eco-Kind badge have been designed with sustainability as their key concern, and are made to have a lower environmental impact than similar products in their category.

Packaging

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our packaging, including our recycled and recyclable mailing sacks, 100% recyclable semi-crepe paper tape, and biodegradable Bio Poly carrier bags. We also make an effort to reuse cardboard boxes and packaging materials, and recycle any damaged boxes on-site. Additionally, by not including a returns form in our parcels, we save a pine tree each month

Electric Vehicles

We also prioritise sustainable practices in our operations. We provide charging stations for our customers’ electric vehicles and have invested in an electric forklift to reduce our environmental impact when moving materials around the site.”

Solar Energy & Electricity

When building our new facility in 2019, we made a significant investment in solar panels to offset our electricity usage. The solar panels work by converting light into electricity, and they can even generate power on cloudy days. Additionally, to conserve energy, we have implemented automatic switch-off on all of our lighting systems

Help us make the change. As a business, our primary focus is providing our customers with the products they want. However, we also strive to do our part in protecting the environment. We have already added many eco-friendly items to our store, however you have the power to change businesses like ours with your shopping habits. Buy choosing to buy the types of products listed as “Eco-Kind”, your choices will shape our future buying decisions as we aim to cater to your preferences. We have always promoted the selection of high-quality, long-lasting products, and now with the addition of Eco-Kind products, there are even more ways to minimise our carbon “hoofprint”.

Are the products listed as Eco-Kind 100% sustainable & impact free? No, however they are products that have been produced with sustainability as their key concern. Products identified and listed by us as Eco-Kind will have been designed to be less damaging and reduce the environmental impact that products in their category normally would.
