About the product

The Kentucky Velvet Saddlecloth is a beautiful design that would look stunning on any horse. It is crafted with a durable velvet outer with a geometric pattern for an eye-catching appearance. It offers exceptional comfort for your horse throughout wear, offering high levels of cushioning and is anatomically shaped to reduce pressure points.

Further superb features include a double twisted piping around the edge, along with secure girth straps. The artificial leather Kentucky logo is placed in a central position at the back of the pad, to allow personal embroidery underneath.

What were your first impressions?

“This saddlecloth has always been on my ‘want’ list as the colour is just absolutely stunning. I am a big fan of the quality and feel of Kentucky Saddlepads as I already have the sensitive skin saddlecloth which was an absolute god send last winter with my horse’s delicate skin and hair! This saddlepad feels so luxurious with not a thread out of place over the whole saddlecloth!”

How was the sizing & fit?

“My dressage saddle is a 17 ½ seat length and it fits so well. There is plenty of space, however, for the bigger saddles if needed and the saddlecloth can be seen below the flaps of my saddle also, which I really love. With a colour so stunning you want it to be seen! There is really good, structured spine clearance also, which helps to reduce pressure points and rubbing from the saddlecloth.”

How did you test the product?

“With only just buying my dressage saddle, this is the only dressage cut saddlecloth I own. I rode in it every day in the weeks running up to my dressage competition, very rarely needing washing.  It was so breathable my horse didn’t sweat as much as he does in my other saddlecloths.”

What was your favourite feature?

“My favourite cosmetic feature is the beautiful contrast binding around the outside of the saddlecloth with the brown “Kentucky” patch. But my favourite functional feature has to be the structured spine clearance. It gives me piece of mind that my horse is as comfortable as he possibly could be with no pressure points.”

Any other comments?

“This isn’t my first Kentucky saddlecloth, and it certainly won’t be my last! The quality and value for money is second to none and I now want this saddlecloth in all the colours in the different shapes too! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!”
