About the product: The Collegiate ComFiTec Training Bridle is a unique design that has been crafted from a quality European leather to offer optimum comfort for your horse. The headpiece has been anatomically shaped and features double padding to evenly distribute pressure across the poll and allow more freedom of movement of the neck muscles. Ergonimically designed, the noseband is shaped to alleviate pressure on the upper jaw and molar teeth, and features a sliding design so that you can acheive the perfect fit. Finished with padded cheek rings, which minimise pressure on facial nerves, the Collegiate ComFiTec Training Bridle is the perfect choice for those wanting ultimate comfort for their horses.n

“When my new horse came, it was clear he is a sensitive soul. Everything you did with him had to be done slowly and at his speed; from rugging up to tacking up, you have to take your time. I had him fully checked for any health issues and he was given the all clear, so I just had to adapt to him and his ways.”

When Chloe first starting tacking her new horse Euros up, he would evade the bridle, putting his head high into the air and clamping his mouth shut and refusing the bit. Chloe decided to look into an anatomical bridle to see if this could help him. After reading up on the Collegiate ComFiTec Training Bridle, she thought this would suit him best; the unique design means pressure on nerves in the face is alleviated and there’s minimal pressure around the jaw and teeth, and with his refusal to take the bit she thought this would suit him best.

The first time he wore the Collegiate ComFiTec Training Bridle he felt softer in my hands while riding, there was less chewing of the bit and he was more forward in his paces. In his standard cavesson bridle he walked slow and on the forehand, not accepting contact. After a few times of wearing the bridle he began to lower his head when tacking up and even opening his mouth without encouragement to accept the bit, something he had never done before. He started working better when schooling and accepting contact, and was softer and more receptive, the bridle was obviously having a positive affect on him.

Closing remark: “The bridle itself is soft and supple, it’s easy to fit to your horse correctly to ensure there is no pressure across the key nerves in the face. I have tried other anatomical bridles previously, but I have found that the ComFiTec Training Bridle has worked the best. To have such a positive impact on a sensitive horse has meant that I have recommended this bridle to friends with horse’s similar to mine and this will be the only bridle I ride him in.”
