About the tester: Rachel is a Sales Specialist here at Redpost and likes to spend her free time paddleboarding or competing her horse Millie. Millie suffers from arthritis in her knees and hocks and is looking for something to keep her comfortable for the remainder of her ridden career.

About the product: The Equilibrium Equi-Chaps Stable Chaps help to keep joints warm, maintain circulation, reduce filling and relieve the symptoms of arthritis. They are a handy alternative to regular stable bandages, with excellent protective capabilities and an inner liner perfect for drying legs quickly.

What were your first impressions? “They look really smart and you can really tell they are a good quality product made to last. I really liked how much time it was going to save me, as I no longer need to put stable bandages on.”

How was the sizing & fit? “The fit was really good. If anything I would say if your horse is on the finer side then to size down. My horse is a 16hh Thoroughbred and wears a small.”

How did you test the product? “Millie wore these overnight whilst she was on box rest. I also used them during the cold weather and they kept the swelling down without heating her legs.”

What was your favourite feature? “I love that the boot is shaped, it moulds easily around the legs and has several straps to help hold it in place which reduced the risk of slipping.”

Any other comments? “I love Equilibrium as a brand. Their products are such good quality and you can always tell they have spent time innovating to make the best products for horses.”
