Coronavirus Information For Our Customers

Quick Overview

We have introduced a range of measures to keep staff & customers safe including thorough cleaning & distancing procedures. Below is a quick status checker of our services:

  • Online = Normal
  • Store = Normal (with limits on the amount of customers in the store at one time)
  • Cafe = Open for takeaway & limited table seating

New Store Procedures

As of Monday the 15th June we opened our store again for browsing. Please make note of the following procedures in advance of your visit.

  • Following government guidelines, from Friday 24th July, all customers will be required to wear a face covering when entering the store.
  • New exterior Click & Collect Only window so customers who have ordered online or over the phone can collect without entering the store.
  • Customers are asked to wait at the internal entrance to the shop until asked to enter (to ensure we do not have too many people browsing at one time). There is inside seating to wait until your turn.
  • Limits on the amount of people allowed in the browsing areas at one time. Please visit the store in as small a group as possible to ensure the maximum distancing in store.
  • Staff may be wearing masks. We will be providing all staff with masks that they can choose to wear.
  • Any procedures involving fitting (riding hats, body protectors, footwear etc) will be carried out using PPE. We ask customers to please bring their own face mask to wear whilst fitting is carried out.
  • We have a dedicated area to fit Riding Hats & Body protectors. We ask that customers book a time for their fitting in advance to avoid queuing. Email info@redpostequestrian.co.uk to book your slot. We are open 8:30am to 6pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday.
  • Our changing rooms will be closed until further notice.
  • The cafe is open for takeaway only.

Updates

Thursday 23rd July - 09:30

As of Friday 24th July all customers are required to wear face masks when attending the shop.

Saturday 13th June - 17:40

Our shop will be open for browsing again from 15th June. We have been busy removing furniture and installing new fixtures to allow for social distancing in store. There will be some procedures to follow when visiting the store which we have detailed above. We are really looking forward to welcoming customers back in to the store and hope you can enjoy browsing again.

Saturday 30th May - 13:50

We are preparing our store for a staged reopening of departments. We have removed a large amount of fixtures to increase space in the store to allow social distancing. We are currently still just running the cashier desk service with no browsing available. We hope to open the horse essentials area soon. Our clothing area will not be open to the public before 15th June. We will confirm the dates in the coming days.

Saturday 25th April - 17:45

As a small thank you to the hard work of the emergency service staff we now offer a discount through the Blue Light Card holder scheme. Simply visit the Blue Light website and search “Redpost Equestrian” for more details. For more information visit here.

Monday 30th March 2020 - 16:45

Our website no longer offers the option to have your order despatched to a DPD Pickup Shop. This is due to the current closure of many of the stores this was available to. Our normal shipping options remain active.

Thursday 26th March 2020 - 14:00

We have extended our returns period for orders placed online to 60 days for any orders placed since 1st March 2020. This will stay in effect until further notice. This has been done to make it easier for customers to get items back to us during this period of limited travel. You can see information about Returns here

Monday 23rd March 2020 - 21:30

In light of the Governments announcement on 23rd March our shop will remain open to provide essential items for the care and wellbeing of our animals including feed & bedding. Despite the seriousness of the current situation our four legged friends cannot go unattended during this time. However we will be making some changes in store effective immediately.

We will be begin a cashier desk only measure in our store. Customers will no longer be able to access the shop to browse. Instead you can either place your order via our website using Click & Collect or visit us in store and request the items which we will get for you. All items in the store are available for purchase in this way, but to protect our staff and customers we feel the measure to close access to browsing in store is appropriate. There will be measures to prevent gathering in close proximity whilst in store. Our Cafe will now be temporarily closed.

Our online despatch remains open and is unaffected. We are following many precautions to ensure this is done in a safe way and hope this gives a way for you to get the items you need without leaving your house.

We hope this gives a clear update on how you can get the items you need during this unsettling period. We will of course keep you updated on any further changes and hope that you understand the measures being taken.

We would like to thank our customers & staff for their continued support and ask that social distancing is respected during this time to protect all. At a time like this working together and helping each other is more important than ever. Stay safe.

Friday 20th March 2020 - 18:15

Following the Government guidelines asking pubs, cafes, restaurants and gyms to close from this evening we are closing the cafe at Redpost Equestrian for sit in meals. We will still be offering a takeaway service this weekend. The Govenerment guidelines are intended to prevent "social gatherings" and so our takeaway service will be unaffected.

Our shop remains open as normal and we continue to monitor the situation and take precautions on the spread of the virus.

Friday 20th March 2020 - 14:00

Our delivery of feed today was unable to take place due to logistical issues for our supplier. They have assured us they will be with us on Monday 23rd March. This means we are likely to have shortages this weekend.



A Letter To Our Customers...

Dear Customer,

In these uncertain times, we wanted to reassure you that Redpost Equestrian is taking the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the UK seriously. As a family business of nearly 28 years, we are no strangers to dealing with challenging times.

Our priority is to maintain the safety and wellbeing of all our staff and customers, whether that is in store or in the delivery of goods.

We’re carefully following the advice from Public Health England and the Government on this matter. Below we have set out measures we are taking to prevent the spread of the virus. We ask customers to please respect these measures whilst they are being carried out.

Our physical and online store are open for business but changes have been made. There may be shortages of a small amount of lines but these will generally be temporary and we ask customers not to panic buy.

We appreciate that some customers who usually visit us in store may not want or be able to visit during this period of uncertainty either because of self-isolation or because they are social distancing as a precaution. Therefore, below we highlight the following alternate choices some of which are newly implemented to help during this situation.

Ways To Order

  • Shop Online – You can use our website to have your order delivered to your door. We have taken many precautions to make sure this is done safely.
  • Click & Collect – You can use our website to place your orders and collect from our store. Should you chose not to enter the store when you arrive we can leave your order in a collection area in our warehouse.
  • *NEW* Feed & Bedding Click & Collect – We have (with immediate effect) listed our Feed, Bedding & Forage on our website so you can now use this to Click & Collect your orders.  You can shop our Feed & Bedding here
  • Phone Ordering – You can place your orders in advance via phone for collection.
  • In Store – Our shop is open with measures in place to keep customers & staff safe.

Additional Steps...

We’ve implemented a number of precautions to ensure the business is operating safely, these include:

  • Hand Washing & Glove Use – We are ensuring hand washing and glove use is used by staff regularly and where appropriate.
  • Cleaning – We are ensuring that those areas touched regularly by team members and customers are sanitised. Many areas are cleaned hourly.
  • Counter Barrier & Screen – We have introduced a distancing barrier at the counter and a clear protective screen to ensure there is safe distance and protection between customers & staff.
  • Distancing – We have introduced steps for both customers & staff to ensure safe distances are always kept people.
  • Feed & Bedding Loading – We have introduced loading platforms on which we will place feed & bedding so that customers can collect feed & bedding without coming in to contact with staff members.

The current situation is changing rapidly - we are closely monitoring developments and will amend any in store or delivery policies in line with official guidance. Any updates following this letter will be posted below.
