Join Us for the Equine Week of Action: Crime Prevention Advice in Store
As part of the national Equine Week of Action, we are excited to announce that the Devon & Cornwall Police Rural Affairs Team will be visiting our store on Friday, 2nd May 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity to speak directly with rural policing experts about how to keep your horses, property, and community safe. The team will be on hand to offer advice, answer your questions, and share practical tips tailored to the equestrian community.
Some of the key topics they will be covering include:
- Theft Prevention: Learn how to protect your horses, trailers, horseboxes, tack, and other valuable equipment from theft. The team will offer advice on security measures and deterrents you can put in place to safeguard your property.
- Fly Grazing and Welfare Issues: Understand the legal aspects surrounding fly grazing and how to address concerns related to horse welfare in your area. The team can also guide you on what steps to take if you encounter abandoned or neglected horses.
- Property Marking: Discover the benefits of property marking and how it can assist in recovering stolen items. The team will explain how marking your tack, equipment, and vehicles can make a real difference.
- Road Safety: Whether you’re riding, leading, or transporting horses, road safety is crucial. Get up-to-date advice on best practices for horse riders and vehicle drivers to help prevent accidents and keep everyone safe.
Whether you are a horse owner, rider, yard manager, or simply someone passionate about equine welfare, we encourage you to drop in. There’s no need to book — just come along, have a chat, and pick up some invaluable information to help protect what matters most to you.
We look forward to seeing you there!
