Here are Redpost, we are pleased to introduce the Redpost Bit Bank, a horse bit trial service which allows you to try a bit out with your horse with the confidence it can be easily exchanged or returned if it isn’t suitable.

Horse bit trial service

With a huge variety of equestrian bits now available, it can be tricky to know what bit you and your horse need. Whether you are a seasoned show jumper, heading out eventing, or happy hacking around the lanes, finding the right bit is key to achieving harmony between horse and rider.

Each trial bit we offer is available on a 30-day trial period. During this timeframe, if you find the bit isn’t quite right or you would like to try a different size or style, you can easily return it to Redpost for an exchange, or send it back for a refund (minus a trial fee).

How does the Redpost horse bit trial service work?

  1. Look through our range of trial bits HERE.
  2. Place your order for the item you wish to trial, making sure you choose the TRIAL option in the drop-down menu, and pay in full.
  3. We will despatch your order to you, and your 30-day trial period starts from the day you receive your item.
  4. Your trial bit will be sent in a new or used condition. If it isn’t the right bit for your horse, it can be returned to us within 30 days.
  5. If you receive a bit that has been previously trialled and this is not suitable for you, please contact our team by emailing [email protected] or phoning 01803 812040 who will be able to discuss your options.
  6. You then have 30 days in total to trial the item and decide if you wish to keep it (or exchange it for a non-trial item), or return it to us if it is not suitable.
  7. If you wish to keep the item after the trial period, then you simply need to inform us that you are keeping it. If you require a different size, then please return the item to us for an exchange.
  8. If you are returning the item, either because it is not suitable or because you require an exchange, then you will need to package it up and send it back to us – you can find our returns information here.
  9. If you are returning for an exchange, then your new item will be despatched to you once we receive the original bit back. There is no hire charge when items are kept or exchanged.
  10. If you are returning the item for a refund, you will be refunded minus a hire fee of £12.
