Harry Meade is renowned for many things in the equestrian community — his unquestionable ability on the cross-country field, his horsemanship, and his friendly manner. What many don’t see is his unwavering commitment to the sport: the dedication and perseverance he brings to making eventing the very best it can be — for the horse, the rider, and the supporter.
This lifelong dedication has propelled Harry through the FEI rankings, earning him the title of World Number One! It’s an accolade few can claim, and one that reflects his attention to detail, relentless work ethic, and drive to stay at the top of the game.

“It’s a great honour to be world number one, and a real milestone. It’s
particularly rewarding for the wider team behind me – they are so invested and
their hard work and support has led to this, I’m proud for all of them”.
When asked what is the key to staying at the top of the sport for so long, Harry
replied “Producing horses in a softly-softly way, and making sure they enjoy their
job. My focus is always each horse’s long-term development, both mentally and
physically with their longevity in mind. I’m always learning, and the key to
ongoing success is being able to do it on all kinds of horses”.
“Our owners and sponsors have fully bought in to our way of doing it, they have
faith that it works and are in it for the long term. My aim is to do them justice”.
“I’ve followed eventing since before I could walk and it’s the sport I love. There
are still mountains in front of me that I want to climb, but for a brief moment in a
life where you rarely stand still, we’ll take a moment to pause and look back and
feel some pride in what everyone has achieved”. Harry Meade, FEI World Number One
