Kate has two horses, Sophy and Milly, who she competes in eventing and dressage respectively. Kate is also a member of the local riding club and shares her passion for horses with her mum.
About the product
The Equilibrium Tri-Zone Brushing Boots are suitable for everyday use in all weather conditions. The Brushing Boots feature a lightweight, breathable and flexible design, ensuring that your horse’s legs are kept cool while protecting them from injuries.
What were your first impressions?
“I was really excited to try and test these boots. We already have a set of the Equilibrium Tri-Zone All Sports Boots in white, which are great for competition days and training. I am a big fan of the All Sports because I have found that there is never any heat or build-up of sweat under them – no matter how hard Milly works! I was looking for something that we could use every day to protect her legs, and use during turnout. If they were going to be anything like the All Sports, I could guarantee they were going to be good!”
How was the sizing & fit?
“Following the Equilibrium size guide made for an accurate fit. They were secure and super quick & easy to put on/off. They also did not move or rub. I have had lots of compliments on how lovely the colour is (I went for the Plum), and how much it suits Milly.”
How did you test the product?
“Currently Milly is carrying a strain in her off-fore which means that I am unable to ride her, I am however able to gently longline her. I wanted to protect her legs during exercise as her limited workload has caused her to have a few ‘over-achieving’ silly moments! I didn’t want her to further injure herself but equally I didn’t want to heat her legs and affect her recovery in any way. These boots are great because they are so breathable and kept Milly’s legs cool which is really important at this stage in her recovery whilst providing protection from any scrapes.”
What was your favourite feature?
“My favourite feature is how breathable and hardwearing they are. They are perfect for every day use and suitable for a range of activities. They wash really well and dry quickly. I am really looking forward to getting back on board and getting further use out of these boots.”
Any other comments?
“I would highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for an everyday set of boots. After using the Equilibrium Tri-Zone range I really feel like any other brand would struggle to compare. I really love how you can take them off and there are no marks or evidence of your horse wearing them. These boots are very stylish and it’s great that they come in a range of colours. I would definitely be interested in getting a fluorescent pair for riding out. I am really impressed with the overall design and have received lots of compliments whilst using them.”
