Dengie Grass Pellets provides plenty of benefits for your horse or pony, as well as other animals. High in fibre that is not only easy to chew but it is also highly digestible, they are proven to be sympathetic towards the digestive system of your pets.

The ideal feed to be used as a partial hay replacer, they are perfect when soaked for those equines with dental issues and who may struggle to chew their forage. They can also be placed in a treat ball to help reduce boredom and encourage trickle feeding which is a more natural way for your horse or pony to feed.

Free from any artificial flavours, preservatives, molasses, straw, binders or fillers, Dengie Grass Pellets are naturally sweet meaning they tempt even the fussiest of eaters.

These Pellets should be soaked before feeding as this will help to reduce the risk of choke, this is due the, being a pure fibre pellet and at times can absorb water and swell.

    Feeding Recommendations:
    To reduce the risk of choke when fed as the sole feed without chopped fibre alongside and for those that struggle to chew please soak Grass Pellets prior to feeding – as a pure fibre pellet, at times the Grass Pellets can absorb lots of water and swell.

    To soak our grass pellets for horses, you can use hot or cold water. Soaking time can vary according to the density of the pellets, but as a guide we would expect a 2 hour cold soak or 15 minute hot soak time. Equally the grass pellets can be left through the day or night to soak. We would suggest a 1 part product to 4 parts water soaking ratio to produce a mash, but you can add more or less water according to your horse’s preference.
