Hello Iain, This trap is made of a polyester net with a plastic cup at the bottom. This cup comes apart to be cleaned before reuse. To use this trap you have to place a sugary substance inside the cup, which will attract the insects and then trap them in the net - 20cl hot water, 50g brown sugar or honey & 20g brewer's yeast.
