The Charles Owen Pro II Plus Skull Hat is the only triple-standard, precision-fitting cross-country skull cap that can take a removable liner, which allows for a close and customised fit. This liner can be removed and washed, to keep your head fresh and clean.

This hat has been designed with front and rear ventilation slots for superior cooling and a GRpx® technology harness for unsurpassed stability. The offset ventilation holes also help to prevent horse studs penetrating through the helmet in case of a fall.

Lightweight but highly protective,Charles Owen helmets are constructed to remain in place while riding and in the event of a fall. The Pro II Plus grips the occipital bone, which is located at the base of the skull, so that it cannot shift and alter the area of protection offered.

Safety Standards: Kitemarked to PAS015:2011, Kitemarked to VG1 01.040 2014-12 and Certified by SEI to ASTM F1163-15.

Sizing Information
Measuring Head Size: Circle the largest part of the skull with a soft tape measure. If measuring around long hair, tie the hair with a low-pony tail: this allows for correct measurement and reduces rotation when the helmet is worn.

  • What is the difference between a round and a regular shape?

    Hi Sophie, thank you for your enquiry. The regular shape is a slight oval, and the round shape is completely circular. To know your head shape, ask someone to take a look at your head from above and you should be able to determine from there.   • Do you have the 59cm and 60cm in stock? Are you open on Sunday so I can come in and try one?

    Hi Jordan, Thank you for your enquiry. At the time of writing, we do have both sizes in stock for you to try. We are open 10am to 4pm on Sundays and always have a trained member of staff in-store who can help you with the fitting. Due to the current COVID19 situation, we are suggesting that customers book appointments for hat fittings as we need to limit the number of customers in store at once. Appointments are not mandatory, but are recommended and will take priority. If you would like to book a fitting for Sunday, you can either email [email protected], call 01803 812040 or pop our social media pages a message. Hope this helps.
