The NEW Point Two Hunter is a stylish, lightweight, air vest with a zipped front based upon the popular ProAir. With minimal colours and branding these jackets are ideal for the hunting field. It inflates in the blink of an eye to protect the rider in the event of a fall.
How the Point Two Hunter Works
The air jacket is inflated by a canister of C02, stored on the front of the jacket. When the rider separates from the saddle, the canister is activated by the release of a lanyard that is clipped from the jacket onto an attachment on the saddle. The air bags will inflate within one tenth of a second — roughly equivalent to the blink of an eye.
The air jacket will hold the rider tight for 15-20 seconds and then slowly deflate over two to three minutes. While the jacket is inflated, the rider will continue to have full movement of their waist, arms and legs, and partial movement of their head.

Areas of Protection
The Hunter air jacket has been proved to work in three ways; to distribute pressure, absorb shock and support the spinal column in the event of a fall. When inflated, the airbag system offers the collar of the neck and trunk more support, thus reducing the risk of over bending the spinal column.

Should it be worn with or without a body protector?
The safest way to wear the Hunter air jacket is in conjunction with a conventional body protector. Some riders who use the Hunter at home or while hunting tell us they prefer to use it on its own — where they previously would have worn no safety equipment at all. But for UK competition, the air jacket must be used with a BETA-approved Level 3 body protector — such as the Racesafe 2010, on which the P2-RS is built. The Point Two Hunter is fully reusable, and requires servicing annually or after every six falls.
All jackets come ready to use with bungee lanyard, saddle attachment and two canisters, one in the jacket and a spare. Every jacket is sold with a spare canister to give riders the opportunity to experience a test inflation of their new garment. It is highly recommended riders take advantage of this, so they know how the system works and how the jacket feels prior to a real accident.
