Oliver comes from a family of showjumpers who have supported him in every step of his career to date. His father, Justin Tuff, has jumped both nationally and internationally up to 1.60m, while his mother, Beth, has a successful background in both Advanced Eventing and showjumping up to 1.40m level.
Having ridden for as long as he can remember, by the age of 7 Oliver was out contesting showjumping classes and developing a keen desire to immerse himself in the world of showjumping.
By the age of 12, he qualified for the 128cm class at both Horse of the Year Show and Olympia, winning the class at Olympia in a competitive jump-off. By then it was clear that Oliver’s love for the sport was established, and it wasn’t long before he started to compete horses alongside his 148cm ponies, jumping the horses on the Sunshine Tour in Spain.
Numerous accolades on both home and international turf followed, with placings at CSI** level and a call up to compete for Great Britain as an Individual at the European Championships. Oliver qualified for the JC final at Royal international Horse Show at Hickstead and was part of the winning team at the Junior Nations Cup Final in Austria. Oliver also went on to record a double clear for Great Britain at the Junior Nations Cup Final in Belgium in 2018.
