Splintex Gold is an excellent application for the reduction of cold (older) splints and other indications including capped hocks, sesamoiditis and early ringbone.
Interruption to the horse's daily routine is usually not required unless lameness is present and total treatment time may be in excess of 30 days.
Easy to apply with the brush provided, Splintex Gold is formulated to be put on lightly every day for 3 days then not applied for 2 days (a 5-day cycle); bandaging is not required.
If you are treating a fresh, younger formed hot splint, it is recommened to use Splintex Silver, which you can view HERE.
