The Charles Owen This Esme JS1 Pro Riding Skull Hat has been designed in collaboration with Esme Higgs, better know as This Esme, who is one of the biggest equestrian YouTube stars!

Made in the UK, this hat is lightweight and cool, equipped with 10 ventilation slots to keep your head feeling fresh throughout wear. The hat features an impact-resistant ABS outer shell and is certified to an impressive three international safety standards, making it ideal for both everyday riding and competition wear.

An upgraded vegan leather-look harness with reinforced nylon webbing and suede padding under the chin provides greater rider security and comfort. A removable, washable headband means your helmet stays comfortable wear-after-wear and can be replaced when it gets worn down. (Please note, liner size selection is made after adding your JS1 Pro shell to your basket).

Finished with a special edition This Esme hat silk, the JS1 Pro would be a fantastic choice for any rider.

    The Charles Owen Esme JS1 Pro Hats are available in 5 shell sizes. Each shell can accommodate 3-4 inner foams of different sizes in order to obtain a perfect adjustment to the rider’s head. The Medium Round shell accommodates a rounder-shaped head.

  • What is the difference between medium and medium round? What does Special Order mean?

    Hello Natasha, Special Order on our website means we need to order the item in for you from our supplier. When you add the item to your basket and visit the checkout page, any delivery delay will show here. The medium and medium round hats are slightly different fits. The 'standard' medium is for more oval shape heads, while the round fit is a rounder shape. If you find the standard hat size is quite tight on the sides of your head, it may be worth trying the round fit. If you need any more advice on riding hat fitting, you are welcome to call one of our trained hat fitters on 01803 812040. Hope this helps.

    Hi Sabine, you are welcome to return the hat if it doesn't fit as long as it has only been tried on, the tags are still attached and it is returned with all it's original packaging. Hope this helps.
