Would these fit my horse? He measures approximately 19-20cm around the pastern?

Hi Lily! The medium-size may fit your horse, as the wraps can be adjusted down to 22cm and don't need to be fastened overly tightly. If you do find them to be the incorrect size we do accept exchanges and returns, which you can find more about here.

How long can these be left on for? Can they be worn for turnout?

Hi Jess, We would say that these wraps are for stable use only and would not recommend having them on whilst out in the field. The leaflet provided with this product states that you must start the treatment gradually to accustom the horse, provided you have followed these guidelines you can then progress to using the pastern wraps as often as required (there is no maximum time limit for usage listed on the Veredus information leaflet). The leaflet also suggests that during the first few days when using Magnetik products it is advisable to tie your horse, to prevent it from biting and tearing magnetic devices. Can these be used to prevent overreaching? How often can I use these wraps?

Hello Rebecca, these magnetic wraps are not designed to prevent overreaching, they are used to help reduce pain and swelling and stimulate blood flow. We do stock a wide range of overreach boots which you can view here: https://www.redpostequestrian.co.uk/overreach-boots It may be worth considering a 'gel' type boot which covers more of the hoof. These pastern wraps are not suitable to be worn for exercise or in the field. Will these fit my horse who has feathers on his legs?

Hi Faye, you can view the measurements of these Veredus Wraps under 'Sizing Information' further down the page. We would suggest measuring your horse's legs where the Wrap would sit so you can get the best fit. The Wraps are adjustable and the measurements provided are the smallest they would fit. My gelding measures 24cm around his pastern however, this is before any swelling. Which size would you recommend?

Hi Anne, thank you very much for your question. Going by our size guide, we would suggest trying the medium as you can use the velcro to adjust the size. However, it would depend how big your horses legs swell as to whether you would need to go to the next size up. If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Can these be used above the fetlock rather than around the pastern?

Hi Melissa, we have now updated this page to give more information regarding the sizing. The medium are equivalent to a full size; the smallest they fit in circumference is 22cm. The large are equivalent to an x-full and the smallest they will fit is 25cm. I hope these measurements help.

Hi there, thank you for your enquiry. Unless you are treating a specific area for injury (i.e. a particular hoof or leg) we recommend first using the pastern wraps to both back legs. As these are further from the heart compared to the front legs they will benefit more from the increase of blood flow. You may then choose to treat both front legs thereafter. In our opinion it is best to treat either both front or both hind legs at the same time as opposed to one front and one hind, in order to get the most benefit from this treatment.
