The Bucas Sun Shower 0g Standard Neck Turnout Rug is a light weight turnout rug with a 840 denier outer that is the perfect choice when all other turnouts are too heavy and warm. It is developed to cater for both rain and sunshine, lined with a mesh fabric to create air circulation between the outer fabric and the body of the horse, which helps to reduce overheating.

Carefully placed shoulder darts helps to give your horse a more tailored fit across the chest and shoulder area. These are a signature design feature from Bucas. The Sun Shower also features attachments for a Combi Neck (sold separately), that can easily be attached to the rug to provide additional protection.

The Bucas Sun Shower Turnout Rug can either be used alone or as part of Bucas' Layering System, which allows you to use Bucas Quilts, Coolers or Liner Rugs underneath to easily increase the rugs warmth and insulation.

    Fitting Guide

    1. To find out your horse's rug size measure from the centre of the chest to the rear of the hind leg.
    2. Once you have the measurement refer to the rug sizing guide above (for guide purposes only)
    3. When you receive the rug please ensure you try the rug on over a clean sheet. This keeps the rug clean and hair free allowing for its return if the size is incorrect.
    4. Check that the rug fits correctly - Correctly fitted horse rugs should not be too tight across the shoulder & should reach the base of the horses tail (excluding tail flap)
    5. The rug must fit correctly before leaving the horse unattended. A rug that is too tight may rub and pull across the shoulder. Too big and it may slip and be trodden on.
    6. Please Note: Except in the case of faulty goods we are unable to except returned rugs unless they are clean, hair-free, include all tags and are suitable for re-sale.

    I love the design of the Bucas rugs. The Stay-dry material, which wicks away moisture, is fab as it means the horses dry quickly, keeping them warm in winter but cool in summer. They also fit the horses really well, never slipping, with an overlap at the front to protect the chest from being rubbed. The detachable surcingles make the rugs easy to use and wash.
