The Freejump Airbag Adult's Air Vest is a fantastic choice in protective equestrian wear for riders of all levels. Suitable for every day riding use, or for competitions across a range of disciplines, the Airbag is designed to be worn over a thin layer of clothing and will inflate in less than a second in the event of a fall. It is the first vest designed for horseback riding that has been been approved by the NF S72- 800-202 standard.
During the time waiting for a European harmonisation and for all other airbag manufacturers to bring up their standards, the NF S72-800-2022 standard provides riders with increased protection by regulating the protective surface, the speed of the inflation and by imposing much more severe impact tests on the vests.
The Freejump Airbag is inflated by a canister of CO2, stored on the front of the vest. When the rider comes away from the saddle during a fall and pressure is applied to the lanyard, the lanyard releases itself, causing the Airbag to inflate. Once inflated, the vest provides protection over the following areas: Cervical, Back, Lumbar, Sacrum, Pelvis and Thorax.
Made from top quality Italian fabrics with perforated panels for airflow and tailored to provide a sleek appearance, this Freejump Vest is both comfortable and sleek. Finished with a central zip to the front for ease of wear, and complete with two canisters (one fitted, one spare), the Airbag would be a great addition to any rider's protective gear.
Please note, this Airbag Vest can be worn under selected Competition Jackets, from brands such as Schockemohle, Pikeur and more. Jackets compatible with the Freejump Airbag must bear the label “FREEJUMP AIRBAG TECHNOLOGY – COMPATIBLE JACKET.”
