Manuka Vet Skin and Wound Crème is a specialised product that contains 80% Manuka honey, which is known for its natural antibacterial properties. The honey used in this product has been independently certified to contain a high level of methylglyoxal, which is a compound that is believed to contribute to the healing properties of Manuka honey.
In addition to the honey, the crème contains lanolin and plant oils (citronella and rosemary). The lanolin helps to stabilise the product's temperature, making it easier to apply in both cold and warm conditions. It also makes the crème water repellent, which can be helpful in protecting wounds from moisture.
The plant oils included in the cream have natural insect repellent properties, which can help to prevent insects from coming into contact with the wound. This can be particularly important for animals who may be more susceptible to insect bites or infestations.
This Manuka Vet Skin and Wound Crème is intended to be used on minor wounds either by itself or in conjunction with Manuka Vet Skin and Wound Gel. It is important to note that this product is not recommended for use under a bandage.
