The Equilibrium Massage Pad & Hotspot Bundle is a great addition to any equestrian's horse-care collection! Consisting of a Massage Pad PLUS a Hotspot Mitt, both these devices help to improve your horse's well-being, boost performance, and much, much more!
The Massage Pad is an innovative design that is highly effective, affordable, and easy to use. It is clinically proven to improve back flexibility and promote relaxation and was developed through clinical trials at Myerscough College, UK. The results, following 6 weeks of testing, show that the Equilibrium Massage Pad offers significant benefits to working horses, improving back flexibility, promoting relaxation and that it could help to increase stride length.
Shaped to follow the contours of the horse’s back, it provides coverage from withers to quarters and provides battery-operated 30-minute sessions, with three different, easily adjustable programs that allow you to choose the intensity of the massage to suit your horse's needs. These programs can be used as a warm-up before exercise, or during the day to help relax your horse.
The Equilibrium Massage Pad has three different settings – high, medium and low – which can be selected easily from the attached controller. This enables you to select the intensity of the program to suit your horse. Each program has three different types of massage – pulsing, vibration and stroking – to ensure muscles are worked in different ways.
The Equilibrium Massage Pad can be easily incorporated into your warming up and cooling down routine. The medium setting is ideal to warm up muscles before exercise, the low setting can be used to cool down after work, and the high setting for when your horse requires a more intense massage. Each session will last for 30 minutes however, this can be manually stopped at any time.
The Massage Pad fits an array of horses and ponies so can be easily transferred from horse to horse or pony. It comes in a handy carry bag which makes it ideal for use at home, away. It is easy to store in the tack room and is wipe clean. The bag also has useful storage spots for the battery and charger.

Benefits of Massage
Massage has shown to help reduce back stiffness caused by injury and long-term chronic conditions such as arthritis. It does this by increasing the blood supply to the affected muscles and removing the build-up of toxins. Tension is often one of the most common reasons for poor performance and by increasing relaxation and improving back flexibility; the negative effects of tension can be reduced. Relaxed muscles will assist with flexibility and movement in particular for competition horses performing dressage movements and jumping technical fences.
Available in three sizes, making it ideal for all horses & ponies!
The Pony Massage Pad has been specifically designed for ponies under 14hh or horses or ponies wearing 5’6” or shorter rugs.

The XL Massage Pad is most suited for horses who wear 6’6″ plus rugs or those particularly long or broad in the back. The XL Pad features 6 massage motors to cover an even larger surface area.

The Equilibrium Massage Mitt Hotspot is a great device with an array of benefits, suitable for use on your horse and also yourself!
Offering comforting heat and massage options, the Hotspot heat pad soothes and relaxes your horse's hardworking muscles, with the choice to use heat alone, or alongside two different types of massage. The Cyclical massage option is designed to be used for your horse if you are holding the Hotspot heat pad still. This is useful when targeting a specific area or trigger point. Use the Continuous massage setting for your horse if you are moving the Hotspot heat pad over larger areas. This allows each sweep to deliver the same massage.
Both these massage options have three settings, Low, Medium and High. Low is best suited for a relaxing massage, for example after exercise, on a day of rest or for sensitive horses. Medium is best suited for general maintenance and everyday use. It can be used as a warm-up before exercise, or as a general maintenance massage. The third setting, High, is designed to be used on horses who prefer a more intense massage, those with thicker coats and horses that are a bit overweight.
The Massage Mitt Hotspot has been tested to increase skin temperature by 8.7°C on average. Using the heat-only option can provide a gentler session to increase circulation. Using heat is a great way to help sensitive horses who may find massage too much. Heat is non-invasive, gentle and well accepted with many associated benefits.
Extremely versatile, this Equilibrium Mitt can also help ease rider aches and pains, using both the heat and massage options, either alone or simultaneously.
